The GAS Ammonia Analyser provides a reliable and flexible solution for ammonia measurement across a wide concentration range, from low ppm levels to high percentage concentrations. Ammonia plays a critical role in fertiliser production, chemical manufacturing, biogas process control, and emerging hydrogen carrier and energy applications, requiring analytical systems capable of handling both trace and concentrated ammonia streams with high accuracy.
The analyser is based on proven gas chromatography technology and can be configured on either the Thermo Trace GC1600 or CompactGC4.0 platform. A Gas Sampling Valve (GSV) introduces the sample into the system, where ammonia is separated using dedicated packed or capillary columns and quantified by a Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD). To prevent adsorption and ensure accurate measurements, the entire sample path is treated with Sulfinert® (SilcoNert® 2000) passivation, providing excellent peak shape, reliable quantification, and long-term stability.
The system is specifically engineered for aggressive ammonia streams and delivers excellent repeatability, low maintenance requirements, and fast analysis times. Depending on the selected platform, analysis can be completed in as little as 60 seconds while maintaining high measurement accuracy. Integrated Chromeleon chromatography software provides intuitive operation, automated data handling, and comprehensive reporting capabilities.
Designed for both laboratory and online process applications, the GAS Ammonia Analyser offers dependable performance, long analyser lifetime, and scalable configurations suitable for industrial, environmental, and energy-sector applications.
Benefits:
Wide Concentration Range: Accurate measurement from low ppm concentrations up to high percentage ammonia levels using a single analytical platform.
Low Detection Limits: Achieve detection limits below 50 ppm using Thermal Conductivity Detection, suitable for demanding industrial applications.
